Renata Knittel Kommel, 2020 SPI alumnus, currently working for The Secure World Foundation, offered an intervention on the Brazilian channel Globo News. Ms. Knittel Kommel discussed the SpaceX and NASA launch of astronauts to the International Space Station and its importance for the American space program and the current Administration. Laura Delgado López, 2011 SPI alumnus currently working as a policy analyst at the NASA Science Mission Directorate offered an interview for Elliott School Graduate Admissions. Dr. Ehrenfreund will receive the Jean Dominique Cassini Medal, announced the European Geosciences Union. The awards ceremony will take place on 3-8 May 2020 in Vienna on the occasion of the EGU 2020 General Assembly. The prestigious award will honor Dr. Ehrenfreund for their important contribution to the Earth, planetary and space sciences.

Dr. Paikowsky, visiting researcher of the Space Policy Institute at the George Washington University, was appointed Vice President of the International Astronautical Federation.
