January 22, 2026 Books, Book Chapters and Reports News Papers Published by Visiting Scholars and Students

The Space Policy Institute has published A Collection of Selected Topics by Seiji Anai, a curated volume of essays and papers by Seiji Anai, a former Visiting Scholar at the Space Policy Institute. The collection highlights his contributions to space policy and international space cooperation.

Mr. Seiji Anai has written a series of brief chapters documenting key events in the historical evolution of Japanese policy related to satellite-based navigation systems. As an early participant in the development of digital maps for Japan and later in his work with the Japan GPS Council, Mr. Anai brings a unique perspective to the development of GPS applications in Japan, touching on market development, international negotiations, and government policy.
